Nathan Hiltz is a jazz guitarist and professor of music at Humber College. He had the idea for Samways somewhere between a friend introducing him to Hank Williams Sr., late nights spent at The Dakota Tavern and The Cameron House in Toronto, and Sunday morning services at St Thomas Anglican in the Annex. He has been composing songs on the guitar since he was 12 years old and has performed with Alex Pangman, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and The Boss Brass.
